Originally written in the early nineties, 'World Gone Crazy' identified an information age already spiralling out of control. Two decades on however, and it’s far beyond anything anyone could have imagined back then.
After the track lay dormant for so long, the gruff gravitas of The Reverend Cleve Freckleton’s voice was exactly what it needed, serving to give the lyrics more relevance now than when they were written. Ché Wilson’s rhythm guitar and The Reynolds soulful backing vocals perfectly complement the Reverend’s distinct style.
From playing to James Brown in a US prison chapel to recording with The New Mastersounds on their debut album and playing Durban, South Africa, Cleve’s commanding voice has been heard by a diverse set of ears.
